The Forestry Commission has produced a guide to getting citizen engagement with the forests over which it has stewardship. Lots of professional communication rarely gets beyond the base levels of the pyramid shown here. But as the document points out, this bottom level provides the groundwork on which to develop mutual trust, understanding and active engagement.
